Frequently asked questions
What are BCAAs for?
While you work out, your "natural" levels of BCAAs decrease as you use up the BCAAs that are stored in your body. As a result, your muscles get sore because your body uses its own proteins to keep going instead of body fat. Our BCAA Amino supplements work against this decrease, reduce muscle soreness and keep your energy levels and blood sugar high.
What is a 2:1:1 BCAA ratio?
As you may know, BCAAs include the three essential amino acids: leucine, isoleucine and valine. The 2:1:1 ratio refers to the proportion of leucine, isoleucine and valine in the formula. In our case: our BCAA Amino offers you a total of 5 grams of BCAAs in a 2:1:1 ratio, meaning you get 3 grams of leucine, and 1 gram of isoleucine and valine per shake.
The BCAA ratio of 2:1:1 is proven to be best suited for building and maintaining muscle mass.
Can I take BCAA Amino on my days off?
Yes. Studies have shown that consuming a daily dose of BCAAs over the long-term can help with muscle soreness.
It is therefore a good idea to have a BCAA shake every day instead of only on days you work out.
What’s the difference between BCAA Amino and Amino & Energy?
The Amino & Energy is a 2-in-1 product that is not only an amino acid supplement, but also a great source of energy for the mind and body, as it contains green tea extract, caffeine and green coffee bean extract. We recommend consuming our BCAA Amino, if you already had your morning coffee and don’t necessarily need an extra boost of caffeine, but still need something to keep you going during your workout. If you are training late and are sensitive to caffeine, our BCAA Amino is also the best option.
