Watch out ladies, these habits are causing your breasts to sag
Thanks to biology and genetics, it’s an unavoidable truth that our beautiful boobs will one day sag. Breast sagging normally begins between ages 21-25 when your stem cells are not produced as much as when you were younger. BUT: Premature sagging is preventable! If you want to save your breasts from sagging, there are a few every day habits that you need to avoid.
Exercising without a sports bra
Stop the bounce! If you’ve ever hit the gym sans sports bra, you know that even a little bit of boob bounce can result in serious breast pain. The back-and-forth motions that happen when you run, jump, dance or do a heavy workout can lead to a breakdown of breast collagen. Without a properly fitted sports bra, your boobs move too freely and may stretch the Cooper's ligaments and lead to sagging.
There is a protein called elastin in our skin which is responsible for its elasticity, smoking breaks down this protein and decreases the elasticity of the skin which in turn causes sagging breasts.
Yo-yo dieting is one of the worst things for your boobs. They are very sensitive to weight changes. When you gain weight, fat tends to go to your female parts first, like your breasts. They’re also one of the first places most women lose weight from when they diet. Each time you gain and lose weight, breast tissue becomes more slack, kind of like an old sweater.
Make your breasts stand up proudly while walking straight. A bad posture causes your boobs to remain in an unnatural position. If this is done for long durations, it leads to sagging breasts. Make sure you are always sitting/standing/walking upright.
Exposing your face to UV rays without wearing sunscreen can lead to premature wrinkles, and it has the same effect on your breasts by stretching out collagen and damaging skin.
Birth control is often to blame for premature sagging of the breasts. Birth control pills trick the body into thinking its pregnant by causing a hormone imbalance.
If you want perky breasts, it’s very important to keep your chest muscles strong. But please don’t forget to support your breasts with a sports bra! The best exercises to prevent sagging breasts: Dumbbell Lateral Raise, Chest Fly and Push Ups. Include these exercises in your regular workout routine.
